Size & Activity Level

The standard size for a Lab is 55-85 pounds. The Labrador Retriever has a high energy level. A good lab is a tired lab. Webbed toes make them excellent swimmers.

Care & Grooming

With only moderate and seasonal shedding, a their coat is low maintenance. In addition, their coat is short, dense, and straight, so occasional grooming will help their coat maintain its water resistance. Finally, their nails should be trimmed monthly, and ears checked and cleaned weekly.
