A Cavachon is a mixed breed, hybrid, or sometimes called designer dog. They are a small dog. To note, they are mix of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Bichon Frise, two wonderful breeds.  Notably, Cavachons are sensitive, amicable, and fun loving. Size & Activity Level

The average size of the Cavachon is from 15-20 pounds. They are a friendly dog and fond of socializing. However, they have moderate amounts of energy. That said, a few short walks per day will keep your Cavachon stimulated and happy. Also to note, they can thrive living in a small apartment or house. However, they do not do well being left alone for long periods. These dogs crave companionship, attention and can be clingy. If you are looking for a loyal sidekick, who will stick by you, this dog is a good choice.

Care & Grooming

The Cavachon coat is a mix of either silky, wavy to curly. Their color is usually a tri color, or dual color of white, black and tan, or apricot, or red.  Grooming is minimal with this dog.  You should expect to brush 3-4 times per week.  Most are very low to non-shedding. This would be a good choice for anyone who suffers from allergies.  Cavachons are prone to ear infections.  That is due to their long hair and dampness growing inside their big floppy ears.  Owners need to clean on a weekly basis and watch for signs of infection.  Also note, nails, and teeth are monthly maintence too.  Nevertheless, this dog is simply a beauty with a soft loving look that will melt your heart.
