A Morkie is a cross breed or hybrid, between a Yorkshire Terrier and a Maltese. They can mate in any combination. Specifically, the result is a cute fur ball, full of supreme confidence. Size & Activity Level
Morkies range in size from 6-12 pounds. They need minimal exercise due to their small size and short legs. Hitching a ride in a designer handbag suits them just fine. Have plenty of toys on hand, as indoor playtime is constant. That being said, a few short walks per day, will keep them in good health. Also, a big yard, or small apartment will suffice. Ultimately, supervision is a must at all times, while never leaving him alone outside.
Care & Grooming
Morkies are non-shedding and hypo-allergenic. Colors range from solid white to black and tan and every combination in between. Considering their small size, grooming is very manageable. Long, silky soft hair will require brushing every few days. Keeping their coats in a "puppy cut" will cut down on maintenance. Bathing should be between 15-30 days.
