Today this breed is a fearless, energetic companion dog who love being with his family. Accordingly,  a little dog with a big mouth, he has no idea of his size.  Fearless, they will engage with any dog, of any size.  A protector of his family and natural alarm system Min Pins are assertive, territorial and stubborn.

Size & Activity Level

A small dog with a giant personality, when in fact they weigh 8-12 pounds, and part of the Toy Group.

To begin with, they have nonstop energy that requires constant attention and supervision.  It's similar to living with a small child who never grows up.  When not in your view a crate will keep them secure.  Min Pins need to burn off energy with a good long walk or plenty of indoor play.  Well suited for apartment living and good with older children and other dogs.

Care & Grooming

Minimal grooming is needed for this short coat dog. Periodic brushing to remove dead hair and a bath only when smelling stinky. They get cold, so keep warm with a sweater or coat when outside. As with all Toy breeds, dental issues are common. Brush their teeth regularly and consult your vet with any issues.

Mini Pins are prone to get fat.  So keep them on high-quality food diet and limit treats and snacks.
